Next, loosen the torsion bar from the center bracket and the drums making sure the cables are first completely loosened up. Never loosen the drums if the cables are not completely loose. Slide the drums away from the bearing plate and loosen the torsion bar from the bearing plate.

Finally, replace the springs by sliding the old ones off of the torsion bar and inserting the new ones. Remember to tighten again the drums to the bearing plate, the torsion bar to the center bracket and the winding cone to din again the springs into place. Make sure the cables are inside the drums and tight. Plug in again the power cable and reconnect the opener.
